Spare Time is a licensed school-age program on school-ground site. The playground equipment at Daivd Llyod Geroge elementary school (DLG) is appropriate for preschool through grade 7 so that children of all ages can play outside each day.

Spare Time is closed on all statuary holidays and 2 weeks of each year.

Yes! Spare Time offers a Preschool Program for children aged 2.5 to 5 years. Guided by the BC Early Learning Framework, our play-based program supports children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth in a safe and well-supervised environment. We focus on building confidence, independence, and the foundational skills needed for a smooth transition to kindergarten.

All employees and volunteers must complete a Criminal Record Check in accordance with child care licensing requirements before working in the program. we also verify references and review qualifications as part of our hiring process to ensure a safe and appropriate environment for children.

The decision to allow photos or videos of a child is always at the discretion of the family. Written consent is required before any images are taken or used. Some families choose to allow classroom display only, while others may consent to centre publications or website use. Families may also choose not to allow any photos or videos. We respect and follow each family’s consent at all times.
